Terms of Service

These terms apply to appointments booked with Lynda T. Carter, Notary Public, State of New Jersey, doing business as Notary Near Me Westampton, NJ.

Notary services

I am not an attorney licensed to practice law and may not give legal advice about immigration or any other legal matter or accept fees for legal advice.

I may decline a notarization when a signer cannot be identified, does not appear to understand the document, does not appear to be signing willingly, or when the document is incomplete. Please bring a government-issued photo ID that is current or expired no more than three years.

Fees and deposit

New Jersey sets the notarial fee at $2.50 per notarial act ($15 flat for a real estate transfer; $25 flat for a real estate financing) under N.J.A.C. 17:50-1.18. My travel fee is a separate charge for coming to you and is quoted before the appointment.

All fees are agreed upon during the booking process. A 10% deposit is due at booking to reserve your appointment. It is applied to your total at the appointment.

Apostilles

Apostilles and certifications are issued only by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services. I prepare, deliver and return your documents; I do not issue the apostille. The State charges $25 per document.

Changes and cancellations

Please call or text (609) 981-9008 as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment.
